E-learning week

its near the end of e-learning week already and i felt like i have not done any studying at all. all i did was slack at home and do nothing other than playing computer games, sleeping and eating. it is kinda difficult to control the urge to play computer games especially when i am using the computer for almost all the time. i told myself that i will only play during the afternoons and nights and i will study in the morning. but that only lasted me for monday and tuesday. for wednesday, maple came out with the long awaited party quest so.... everyone can guess what happened on wednesday morning already. haizzz. looks like computer games really attract me more, not like that is of any surprises.
however today afternoon we had classes. after class, we had a slacking session whereby chen shyan, wee siong, wei ming, kang li, j k and me went talking for 2 hours in foodcourt 1. time really passes very fast while we were chatting. it turns out that all of us also slack during the e-learning week, and are also looking forward to vesak day next thursday to continue to slack.(><)
i think e-learning week is boring and lame. it doesn help in my studies at all instead i think it worsened it, not like my everyday studies are good already. but still... i should be glad there is such a slacking week for us in this semester.

Accept others for who they are and not what they wear

This is my style, my unique style. Even if my foot hurts, I wan t to wear heels. Even if I feel cold, I don’t want to wear sleeves. Because this is what defines my personal style. I don’t wish to change my style of dressing but circumstances are forcing me to change. Such are the opinions of my peers, and the looks given to me by strangers. If coming to a polytechnic forces me to change the dressings I have followed for the past 16 years of my life, I would rather suffer in a junior college, wearing the same uniform everyday.
I just feel that people should not give their opinions based on the majority. Accept others based on who they are instead of what they wear, rather than despise them. You may feel that im just being a little oversensitive, but not many can feel what I felt when u give me the comment.
Majority of polytechnic students come to schools with a shirt, three-quarter pants and sport shoes. But there are also a minority that has a dress code different from others, does that mean that they are an outcast of the campus? What’s wrong with wearing skirts? What’s wrong with wearing sleeveless? What’s wrong with wearing heels?
I don’t mean to make anyone feel guilty about passing the comment to me, neither am I blaming anyone. This is just a personal point of view.

it hurts.. with every step..

Last night, when I reached home, I found out that I had blisters at the sole of my foot. I went to prick it with a needle. And having itchy fingers, I also used a small scissors to cut it open. This morning, when I woke up, the wound hurts a little but it did not interfere with my movement. I managed to find away my pain in school, but during the practical lesson, the pain became unbearable that I had to limp. After practical lesson, I limped my way to the MRT station.
I did not go home, instead I went to LTA. The place was so big that even after I entered the building, I had to walk quite a long distance to my destination (Block 10). This aggravated my condition such that I had no choice but to take a taxi home.
On my way to LTA, I met some people on the way that gave me the “look” as though they have never seen people limping before. But there were some that were also ‘quite’ concerned about my foot that they asked if I was alright.
I am glad that school ended early today so that I could come home to rest my foot (like what im doing now). Hopefully after some medication I will be slightly better for tomorrow’s long day…

Pink?!

I cant stand guys wearing pink I just feel that guys are not suited to wear pink. Red or purple is good, but not pink… especially those pink that are slightly darker than normal………. It has been quite a long time I see a guy wearing this type of pink already, even though I do go out with guys quite often. Today, Samuel was wearing a pink collar tee and he look very gay in it. No offense Sam =X.
Had my 1st quiz of the year – microbiology test. I was relieved that it was microbiology and not chemical process technology b (CPPb). It wouldn’t be a good omen to fail the 1st test right? CPPb is actually a subject that revolves around only 3 values – pressure, volume and temperature. But questions on them can be very chimitology. Worse is that my CPPb teacher is a newbie teacher who does not know how to teach. As such, i also have no idea how to pass CPPb. I can only pray that I do not have to do repeat module for CPPb.After the microbiology test, I took the train home with jen ken, wee siong and ryan, we split up on the way. At least at the north-east line, me and wee siong had much more things to talk about. On Tuesday, we had nothing to talk at all such that we seem like 2 people that do not know one another at all.
well.. gotta go do CPPb practical le.

ACKNOWELDGEMENTS

i have a tagboard on my blog today.
much thanks to ~ 'xiia0devilx' aka 'ting' aka 'cole' aka... --> for her cbox website
~ wee siong --> for helping me to add it into my blog
~ denise --> for well.. trying to help me

Early release

it was a rare time today as i attended microbiology class for onli 1 hour today, class started at 8 and ended at 9. reason being that we(my group) did not have any practical assignments. after microbiology lesson, wee siong and i went to business block to reconfigure his laptop as there were errors on his laptop that did not allow him to open mathcad. business block is soooooo far away from CLS block. [ simple map: CLS block --> MRT station --> Business block] when me and wee siong reached business block, we realised that there were no lifts there!! so we climb the stairs to 4th level. in the reconfiguration room, there was only 1 technician on duty. he gave wee siong the manual to reconfigure then, he went idling. the technician seemed a bit of the 'gangster' type with a tattoo on his right shoulder also he smell very strongly of cologne. but ultimately, he got the mathcad right for wee siong. congrats to wee siong for having 1 of his wish fufilled.
after i left school, i had lunch in town with hui min and sharon. we were supposed to meet at dhoby gaut station at 1pm. when i arrived, it was almost 1.20 already, i was late ><. lunch costs me a bomb but they so 'bo steady one' after lunch, they had to rush back to school.
then i brought my "伟大杰作"-calculus book (which i split them into 4 sections) to bind. the shop did not have a cover fixed for the shape of the book pages, so.. what choice did i have? haizzz.. i sould have brought it to school for binding so it will be cheaper. as such, i exceeded my spending limit for the day.
oh! and happy 17th birthday to Elijah!!! when will it be my turn???

Archery

today is my 1st archery lesson due to termite infestation on the boards last saturday. i learnt aboout the positioning, stunts and commands needed for shooting the arrow accurately. other than that, i get to try out shooting for my 1st time. i did not hit any bullseye though >.<. but at least i did not shoot out of the board ^^. i used a traditional wooden bow. there is also a compound bow and metal bow which is much more complicated and expensive.
metal bow is actually the same as the bow i use, but it LOTS more expensive. a normal bow+arrow+ equipment cost $300++ but the metal one cost almost $2000!!!! near 7 times more expensive. but there is 1 guy there that owns 1 of the metal bows. he must be really rich! a metal bow however, reduces the need for maintanence and also able to shoot more accurately. i think thats the only difference in the 2 bows.
compound bows... much more complicated instead of having 1 bow string, a compound bow has 3. the additional bow string provides more support for the arrow and bow. the sp archery do not let us learn about compound bows though as i think even the seniors do not know how to use it. but 1 of my seniors say that there is 1 compound bow in the club. also, compound bows are much shorter. about 70% the size of the normal bow.
i wanna take a look at it T_T
